Ok, an update tonight. The boot floor and lid are under construction.

Not sure about the brace under this. Might remove it.

Brace is a great idea, wouldn't want to buckle your brand new lid. Use the brace to house lighting for the box.

I'm thinking number plate light using a courtesy door switch as an actuator.
Tailgate stays to keep it up?
Great work with the factory ness!

It would make sense to use factory standard parts so i might check out a number plate light and switch. On the other points, i have decided to run with gas struts (for both upper tailgate and boot lid). I've also decided to recycle the WB Caprice boot lock and solenoid release for this project. It should convert ok.

Thanks for the factory ness feed back. I was aiming to make it look like it was intended by Holden. Cheers

Minor update. My 'boot' man was back today and got into the floor again. He has merged the HQ and WB halves together and started cutting the remaining two corner profiles. Next step is to tack it into the tub and then cut the excess tub away.

    Thanks for the encouragement guys

Well, another update on the boot. The floor is made and in position, so now the internal size and angle can be seen. Boot man is back tomorrow to tack the floor in place and cut the excess tub off. I should be able to work out how many cartons of beer and bags of ice i can pack into it soon!
