Back in the day you could buy bathroom carpet that was a shag pile with a rubberized backing. I did a lot of interiors with it. Not so sure its available any more but I loved it. It cut so well and glued up with no hassles using contact adhesive.
Vans.... This is the 2nd time round the block, 40 years later! talk about turning back the clock!

I was just telling a mate a few days ago to look for bathroom carpet for a van he bought. Back in the day, I used it on the inside of the tailgate on a couple of vans. It was nice n soft to sit on & it evened out the ribs, so at the drive-in so you could sit & talk to the girls before asking them into the van, The black bathroom carpet didn't last long, it faded colour to a dirty brown fairly quickly. If anyone has seen it for sale let us know thanks

    cheers
