HZ Sandman Ute on ebay

The listing has ended now and I think it was bought by someone from Toowoomba yesterday. From what the seller told me it was an original HZ Sandman Ute , 2 seat capacity, GVW 1860kg, L31, M21, Paint 569-30524, 18V Trim, Adelaide build and appeared to have the original engine. He'd owned it for the past 27 years. Quite a lot of rust but still good value at $3500. Be good to see some further photos and details put up by the new owner if he's a member...beat me to it by about half an hour!

I watched that for a few days thinking if It was closer I would have jumped on that! It was a case of the seller didnt do himself any favors not listing it in the cars section and putting some photos of the tags up. I bet he didnt hear from anyone and sold it to the first person who made a inquiry!

The owner sold it privately for $4800. I was also interested, but it was already gone.

The owner's son put it on ebay and as stated above it was listed in parts, not cars for sale. From my conversation with the owner he didn't know or seem to particularly care that it may be a sandman. I did make an offer but it wasn't $4800, had to take into account $750 to get it back home to Vic. I have pretty much all the tag details if HK1837 wants them.

Yes please. All 1977 plated HZ Sandman data is gold to me especially Dandenong (but others too).

no brainer!! Valencia orange HZ ute with 18V trim with perhaps the original 308 motor for $3500!!
