    So the chassis is just about ready for final placement. There are a few things to do but just about there

    The body is back on the rotisserie for final prep before primer. Once this has been done then we will set up for base coat

    Looking good Wombat, athough I was hoping to see a little fresh colour.

    I have a persian sand HX & need some persuasion not to do a colour change

    Hi Wombat, Been a while mate, just wondering what you used on the alloys (extension housing, bell housing and inlet manifold) to bring them up so good. Im in the process of dropping the motor back in and I have used a bit of elbow grease but can't seem to get that bight finish, Cheers Kym

    I remember Craig having set up a electrode bath to clean up parts, not sure if the cast stuff went it there too

    Try vapour blasting. Seems to be the go for alloy on bike restoration.

    That will give the best restored "as new" look. The final blast should also be with the finest glass media.
