Thanks Absinth that helps a lot mine fits at each side but almost comes out in line with the rear lower gate in the middle. Too many years of being yanked on I think.

Glad it helped, upper tailgate should be dead straight along that bottom edge.

OK hate to ask for more pictures but
the father in law has looked at the 3 upper tailgates that we have and they all have the bow in the bottom. If i could get some more proof that would be great. I have showed him the pictures Absinth but he is not convinced since looking at the ones we have.
i've worked on a few. can't remember there being a bow bro

It has to match the swage line on the bottom tailgate.
Mine are both straight. So are the other two in this pic with mine.

I had a friend send me this picture. See how under the handle the door comes out slightly. Dad has checked the 3 at home and they are all the same.
The lower edge is straight where it meets and runs along the lower it is just doing the panel work / fitting etc there is bow.

I just did that and I apologise...
They are NOT straight! There is a very slight bow of about 1/4" on both top and bottom tailgates.
I've measured three that I have and they are all exactly the same.
