Autometer temp gauge

Hi

I bought a autometer mechanical temp gauge (3432), the motor is a 304 efi.

The original sender unit is under the throttle housing and next to that is the manifold sensor both with small threaded ends in the manifold.

Do i just need to get an adapter to reduce it to suit, or is thier another location to mount the sender unit.

The easiest thing to do is put it in the top radiator hose . It should have come with a small bit of rubber that the capillary sits in when the bulb is inserted into the top hose. it goes between the hose and the thermostat outlet or the radiator outlet. Also use a bit of silicone to seal it.
The other alternative is to use an electrical gauge. I say this because the adaptor you need may not exist.
