Yeah not really for me anymore either. However if you were to go for a full length bumper I would opt for a HQ wagon.

Been done hundreds of times and it's ugly in my opinion. I remember a Western Australian Van in 1979 I admired named Scorpion. The back was full of angel fur and it had the HQ sedan rear bumper. HQ Wagon bar is the go with short HQ lower tailgate hinges.

Wagon bumper looks good, but the sedan one is just too busy with all the lights.

Some people only like the bumperettes, and if you are doing a restoration then there is no option, but a full bumper finishes the rear off.

Sell the sedan one and buy a wagon one.....

I can't sell the sedan one it's actually of the HQ four door I've got in the shed. I've got a HZ sedan bumper on it now but it doesn't sit right like 90% of them don't. A mate of mine had his shortened and rechromed came up good but very pricey. Has anyone used these repro ones you see on EBay? I mean the factory style ones.

The wagon bumper is the one to use I think you still have to shorten them a bit to keep it close to the body , but in my mind they look perfect on a ute. If the sedan bumper is in good nick I might be interested in buying it , let me know pls

HQ wagon will be wight width. If you are going to shorten one a WB Statesman one actually looks a lot better than a HJ-HZ wagon. They all still look odd though.

What are you doing for tail lights on the HQ then, if you were thinking of using a HZ bumper?
