What I have worked out thus far:
    09/1975 Build, HJ.
    Elizabeth Plant built,
    HC 179 engine
    Three Speed manual Trans
    2.78:1 Salisbury rear axle
    Durham Beige Duco
    Fawn Gazelle Interior
What I got for my money:
The van in the pic above, 253 V8 in the engine bay, 1 x pair bucket seats, prem front, HJ prem dash, spare prem cluster, two pairs of doors, spare upper tailgate-with "T" handle, two front bumper bars, spare pair of guards, spare bonnet, second HX van minus motor, box, and front clip and upper n lower tailgates.

    Will be a 173 not a 179. And there is no way you'd have a 2.78:1 banjo in a HQ behind a 173 manual, it'll be 3.55.

Yes I realised the 173/9 was a typo. And I actually thought the code read GU7 it is in fact GV7, so yes a 3.55 Ratio

difficult, the radio section on a standard HJ fascia has a textured finish. I may have an uncut one in the shed, will have a look next weekend.
