hx sandman tags.

hi all new to this site.

i bought a hx ute of ebay two years ago from melbourne. 350 chev, t400, 9 inch. i only wanted the running gear.
when it arrived home ( brisbane). the body was flogged with rust. no where near repairable. when i started pulling it apart i noticed the drain holes missing in the tray and dodgey rear pillar.

checked the tag and she was a cut down sandman xx7. the vin plate is missing and the chassis is out of a hj.

thirty three hundred paint jobs. i got a bit excited when i found mandarin red in there


heres a pic of how i got it. the maroon one. the mandarin hz is my project im currently restoring.


it seems a waste to leave the tag sitting in the cupboard for eternity.
is it wrong to put it on another pano with a different vin no

It's an 8/76 build. As you don't have the other tags, just keep the tag as a memento. I've got about 10-15 sets of Sandman tags in my collection, no waste in that. They are gone to heaven long ago.

it came from a property near ballarat, the bloke i bought it off said it had been sitting for a few years.

it was royal plum with bone or chamois interior. guessing from the rust and style it was last rebuilt in the early nineties. had inch thick bog in places (people that do that should be shot)
