Help on details of my Sandman

    Hello,

I am thinking of seeling my sand man and want to see how rare or valuable it is before I do and was wanting some assistance.

It is opaline blue and has its original engine and trans that are in good condition. The van is in what I would class as excellent condition with no rust. It does need some electrical work and some tidying up as it has been sitting for a long time.

    Thanks in advance

Hard to know without photos of it. It's a 5 litre Sandman which isn't all that uncommon. If its a good survivor though it would be interesting. Somewhere between 10 and 30k.

Things like how many owners, original books and known history all count for a lot if you are trying to sell it. If its actually in good original condition or if has already been fiddled with make a difference.

If there is minimal to spend it is a valuable thing. As soon as paint and panel is reuired $ value drops very quickly. But is is a 308 example so that is a plus. Opaline blue might turn a few off though.

Opaline Blue is a great colour. But rarely appeals to people who like Reds and dark colours.
It worries me that all the tags are painted black. Show us the Van so we can offer better advise and opinions.

    ^^Or it might excite others!

Edit: on a positive side I believe Opaline is the original colour of the Seawitch van off the HZ Sandman brochure. Although to do a proper replica you don't need a Sandman as from what I can tell so far it was only a dunger 6cyl 3spd originally

Opaline might look really cool with the right colour decals.....maybe DY4 would work best

    Take your pick Jason

Not a good photo guys but it gives you an idea, and personally I love the blue. And there is brand new Rochester on it now and the Holley has gone.
