Great work. One more for the road eventually!
The auto paint shop in devonport had no luck in finding the vynacote formula , I took in the formula that appears on this site but was told it didn't mean anything to them . Cant wait for the outside colour to go on !!

flutes going in and rear inspection panels done
passenger door and guard ready for primer and drivers door started . Drivers side flute to go in next and then upper tailgate needs a little metal welded in !! I think I can see the light at the end of the tunnel .

As you can see haven't gone the full engine rebuild , just a little tidy up !! The old 253 runs beautifully so will rebuild it down the track when needed . Can't wait to start reassembly .
I was waiting for this question to arise and the sad and sorry answer is I have well and truly passed 10k . In hindsight I should have searched for a genuine sandman shell but you live and learn . Still I am pleased with the quality of work being done and look forward to reassembly . Have purchased gts door trims and also all black gets seat covers with the golfball pattern and black stripe through the middle . Have also strayed and i hope I don't offend any hx owners but ever since I saw that red hj at macca's in maryborough with the black stripes my original plans got thrown out the window . I purchased from stick this the black hj stripes and will install a hj grille . Id say I'll be pushing 30k once finished
