Hi guys
I had to repair the steering column surround/tube. In my hz today. Upon putting it all back together and tightening the shaft to the intermediate shaft I realised that the steering wheel end was too short. I Googled and found out that I most probably have rooted the plastic plugs in the collapsible shaft area by belting it back into place.
anyway I managed to get it back to the correct length and have sorted it all out.
now my question is this....Will the shaft and steering be fine with these plastic bits broken? Considering that both ends of the shaft are bolted on and the collapsible part is firmly secured in itself still, I imagine it should be fine.
what do you guys reckon?
Thanks
