hey guys thanks for the kind words, when i decoded the tags it just didn't make any sence a belmont with Orchid Metallic thats when i discovered the my sandman crew
i mean check out the pics it looks nothing like it should be, it has been fully re painted with some dodgy rust repairs commodore buckets
5 speed and a six banger
this van was meant to be just a time wasting exercise doing rust repairs and if i fked it up would just use it as a paddock bomb
now that it is something special i might have to call in an expert to help get the old girl back to her former glory

Question for the gurus....how many variations of tag rivets were there in the HQ range....mine look a little different!! Just curious

It's certainly a special and a rare car these days. Something that should be carefully put back to what it is meant to be.
If you can't, pass it on to somebody who can and will.

It's a standard nose that somebody has added the Statesman splitter/centre bar and fitted Statesman grills.
It's a custom job.

The old girl needs a full resto....but certainly worth the effort. Grats on the find Maybe dont tell the previous owner until after its finished

It may not be a Sandman, so be careful before you commit to bulk $. The tags may not belong to the body either, but hard to know once someone has removed them. Look for original Orchid over red primer over black dip.
