I'm back and looking for a new van !

    Hey everyone,

Some of you may remember me from a few years ago when I was a regular on this forum and at a couple of meets and so on. Now after selling my van 2 years ago I'm back looking for a new one (I miss having a van) so I'm on the hunt for a van that needs a restoration as opposed to a complete van. I have come across this...is it any good ? Iliad i have been out of it for a while I have lost touch on prices etc.

    Cheers
    !

I had a look at this van on the weekend (Ballarat swap meet)..
I couldn't see the tags but it had genuine Holden fitted roof lining..
Lots of rust in roof and sides.. about $5k too high in price

I wouldn't rule it out being a Sandman. The hole you mention is in the carpet only, you can't see the floor. The original paint is Mandarin Red which was a common Sandman colour and Chamois trim along with 1950 gvw.
Of course condition is another thing. I'd say it a good chance to be a Sandman. A very unloved version.

Based on the tailgate it's been a work horse for many years.

EDIT: It's a bit odd that the bench seat in one shot is black and in another it is brown!

I thought it looked like a sandman and I would not think a Tradie would change to a gts dash, but would change to a three seater.i. I am unsure why on earth you change mandarin red to palais white. I love white but only with stripes.

Are you after a Sandman, or a Van, for resto?
