Ok, time to ignite this old conversation again. I'm moving ahead with my plan on the fuel filling location and decided on the final route for the piping. Ultimately, i needed to drill through some part of the chassis and this is my chosen path. After seeking engineering advice, I chose to run the pipe out of the body, then over and along the inside of the RHS rail, then punch into the rear of the factory tank through a cross member. Pics below of the cross member hole location and heavy welded pipe i will use to return strength to the cross member.
