    No just a 202 putting out about 250hp

    My little 253 torana used to destroy banjos, i think more to do with the nut behind the wheel, but fitted a salisbury and never had another problem. Until i fitted the 350 chev

    I had another diff centre here and went to fit it and no good the bolt holes are different then I found out the two diff centres I've got is out of a ht and hq someone had swaped the diff at some stage because I thought hz was a fine spline but the dates on the centres tell other wise

    A Salisbury will easily handle 250hp out of a 202. It is low down stump pulling torque that kills diffs not hp, and a 202 developing 250hp will have bugger all torque low down in rev range. Salisbury is far stronger than an aussie 4spd, banjo and aussie 4spd are a close comparison.

    The 2.78 amd 3.08 centres are attached to the houisng differently to 3.36-3.9:1. The higher ratio centres use all studs but the 2.78/3.08 use bolts for the bottom holes. HZ should normally be 23 spline. It may have had a HQ-HJ diff put in it if it is 10 spline.
