The Sandman is the next " Aussie great collectable ". This is good but apparently mine is not a Sandman as it doesn't have XX7 or XU3 stamped on its compliance plate, or so the article says. I hope the dealer told the poor bloke in Victoria that he wasn't buying a Sandman back in '78

Only Brisbane built Sandmans have XX7 or XU3 stamped on the tags period and that's HQ to HZ.
Sandmans built at any of the other GMH plants don't.

Can somebody scan the article and post it please?
    I'm up for a laugh..

True enough! But the person writing the article up should have done their research. They have been to this site asking for cars to photograph so they shouldn't be ignorant to commonly known facts.
Now this article will spread into the population smearing doubt in many peoples minds yet again about to be a Sandman it must have XX7 or XU3 on the Tags. Which is simply a load of

Mind you, I haven't as yet read the article...
It could get better, or a lot worse!

As with most of these types of vehicle, there's always some
    confusion regarding identification.
    Alway's has and unfortunately
there always will. I just expect
    more from this publication.
There is still misinformation regarding the original GT
    Falcons disappointingly.

People need to check their facts before publishing. Simple as that. I'll email them once I read it to correct their mistakes but the damage is already done. I guess there might be a flood of questions here soon?

As long as there is misinformation about Sandman's, there will be mySandman.com.au and a great community contributing to it.

I too would like to see a scan of this rag.. mag.

I saw this today and it looks like exactly the same article printed about 4 or 5 years ago, pictures on the cover are exactly the same so didn't go any further, i'll go and see if i can find the old article and put it up.

    Cheers
