Doesn't do it for me. Stupid Queensland scoop, pretty ugly package overall.
Many things wrong for a Sandman. Could be, but likely only "borrowing" the name.

    Engine looks tuff!

Not my cup of tea either..... Looks like bits of everything..... And I hate old cars with bling bling 20" rims and 20 series tyres.... Save them for your SS Crummydores and XR8 Falcrap.

Looks stupid. Stripes on the rear quarters are all wavy too. Must have been fitted by Ray Charles.

Big fan of pro touring and retro tech. 20s are a little overkill

Clearly not Stickthis decals...front point is too round.

1000hp out of a 308 has to be a grenade motor

    .....And.....

The Sandman sticker is on the front of the guard!!!!!!!
    Man I HATE that!!!!!
The van is tough enough without ANY stickers and it just looks like a cheap poorly done replica if you don't follow the original style. We discussed this last night in the "For Sale" section.

Oh, and I don't like modern HUGE wheels on a 70's classic either....

If my SL/R and van were parked beside each other for too long I would probably have something similar.

Well, at least it shows you can have issues with panel fit and still make a magazine cover (driver door at lower sill) second pic. Not that my panel fit is much better atm, hard to get it right. I like the way he handled the center roof mount aerial though, blacking out the mount and fitting the modern black antenna, saves welding up the hole.

Gas struts on the tail gate again too, I dont think I'd do that. And I agree with Rob on the wheels 70s cars thing.

That said, credit where its due, if its the car he wanted to build, it looks like he's done it pretty well! It might not be the Sandman I would build, but I'm sure it would stop me in my tracks if I saw it on the street!!

I am thinking that under the skin that van may be a bit unfinished? No headlight switch knob. A hole where the intermittent wipers go. Lots of engine though. Yeah lots of engine.
    Oh and no fuse cover....
