    Hi dm6666

Comment from me on the HZ van restoration is the same as the others here (Its all good and personal preference reigns supreme). My preference was a WB as the base vehicle and then fit it with the most modern features possible from that era of panel van/statesman. I will be doing the Sandman stripes and text on the tail gate in a ghost pearl as a tribute but its a personal replica with options to suit me.

A couple of my personal options include full WB Caprice SII electrics and comforts, LSA engine and Tremec 6 speed manual, custom recessed boot and I'm determined to get the fuel fill point behind the tail light.

Good luck with the respray and I definitely recommend a full body off sandblast if you are considering this.

Sorry to hijack the thread again, came from a Bedford according to the scrappy but on closer inspection its a trimatic pattern which is brilliant because thats what I have been chasing for a while. Said it was low kays with a rusty cab and parked up for years so I took i for granted it would be the original setup but obviously not. Anyone need a Bedford gearbox?

Yeah mate, sounds great, like plenty of others have said here, it's your car, make it how you like.

Your into vans / cars and well frankly, that's all that matters.

Good luck, looking forward to the progress reports.

Slowly coming apart. I have bought another front apron due to poor previous repair/fill under headlight on old one. 011.JPG019.JPG033.JPG047.JPG052.JPG
