I always thought those roof racks were factory options? But I'm keen to know if I have assumed that wrongly, one of my HX vans had one when I got it, so I was gonna just reinstall it after the paint is done, but maybe not if it was a dealer option.... thoughts?

They were Station Wagon but commonly fitted to Panel Vans. Dealers spare parts sold them or maybe even fitted them. But on an original Sandman it really shouldn't be there. Just like the black rubber on front bumpers. If you have original delivery docket with options added and stated, then that's fair enough!
