G'day all. Today I have the pleasure of announcing a new arrival to both the forum, and my driveway.

First, a little back story.
After I purchased my HZ Ute, my younger brother wanted to buy a similar old Holden to restore for his first car.
After much deliberation, I decided that his car had to be something with a lot less work to do than my ute ie. an abandoned project. This also ruled out the possibilty of another Ute as most Utes in my area had been farm flogged. So in the end, we found a car within budget that was already on the way to being restored.

We drove all the way to Bauple to pick up a bargain, as the owner had taken on too many projects and decided to sell, in order to complete his Turbo VL commy.

The New Car:

1979 HZ Kingswood SL (same year model as my ute = compatible spares + RTS)
63C Buckskin trim (same as the ute)
202 HC motor
M15 3 speed Column Manual
Palais white

front end removed

rear shot:

the only really bad spot of the car is that the floorpan needs replacing

Another thing that really helps with this build is that the car came with all the interior parts inside, all the glass and was generally complete. This was a huge step up from my ute which came without a motor, box or bumpers.

Inside:

thats about it for now. I'll keep updating this page with progress. Its hard to tell who is more excited at this point: me, or my brother.

Thanks in advance for any support the forum has to offer on this build.
