Have seen quite a few adds from this guy but couldn't believe this one. Elongated stud holes to allow for multi fit? I could be wrong but im thinking elongated stud holes would be a bad thing.

Yes, many multi-fit wheel have 2 (or sometimes even more) sets of holes. But, Ive handled many sets of US made alloy wheels which have elongated holes & matching offset bushes. The stud patterns were 4.75" (Chev/Holden) & 4.5" (Ford/Chrysler). They was supposed to centralise on the centre spigot, but in some cases they did not.
Crappy idea they may be, but they were available back in the 70s. Whether they comply with any ADRs or RTA regulations is another matter entirely.

I just noticed in the ebay ad, that the wheel pictured with the girl, is not the multi-fit wheel, The multi-fit appears in the next 2 pics down.

I have a mate that runs both ford and Holden stud patterns he uses one as a spare so he dosn't need to carry 2 spares.
I don't think i'd want them on all four corners of my ride..

You are better off having a wheel which has both stud patterns drilled (i.e. 10 holes).
Simple & safe & a great idea for a spare wheel.

The wheels are called "Unilug" . You put an insert in the elongated hole to give you the stud pattern you want. 2 different inserts (offset and centre holes) give you 3 different options of stud pattern. I've got a set of Ansens the same in 15x8 and 15x10.
I had a set of Western mags 8" and 10" back in the late 70"s and they were " multi fit" and had elongated holes, they were a bastard to fit as the wheel nut had a huge shoulder to align the rest of the holes so you had to put one stud at the top then mount the wheel then move the wheel to get a second nut on then Bobs your uncle beautiful mags deep lip with 5 slots
