$11,500, brand new....

Cannot believe how cheap this crate motor is for what you get, especially when compared to going through the exercise of supercharging an injected Holden motor. The whole thing is only a couple of grand more than just the whipple blower kit from Yella Terra... Admittedly you still have to accessorise the engine, just shows that we do pay a premium for our "limited number" (in comparison to Ford, Chev etc) Holden. For just the head work, porting, roller cam/lifters/valve gear for my VN headed 355 (fun engine, the original bore oringinal engine will be slipped under the bench after a strip and standard rebuild), I'm up for $4.5 to $5K plus the cost of the stroker bottom end, and I was only thinking of keeping it normally aspirated
You could build a Holden motor with the same (if not more) grunt but it wouldn't idle or be as tractable as the LSA is out of the box. Makes me wonder if I should just fit a YT whipple to a mild build 304...
Reckon it would clear under the bonnet?
