I recently paid $450 for upper and lower. Both rust free. I then got onto a shell with a 5 cent piece sixe hole in it for $80. They're hard to find, but they do exist.

Wow, I couldn't give one away 12 months ago. Ended-up leaving it on the van when it went..

Agree..... He is about the most expensive on EBay for Holden parts so if he only wants $95 for an upper tailgate.... It's stuffed.

Hi All

Thanks for the help, I think I've got some good info out of this to follow up, but the eBay tailgate looked fairly rusty when I looked at the pics so I discounted it. I also updated my profile location for future. Sounds like you guys have already experienced the joys of searching for parts on 30 - 40 year old cars. I will post back my results and if I see other tail gates in my travels, I will notify as well.

I know it's a fair way from you but give Friends Holden Wreckers in Geelong a call as they often get vans in for wrecking and aren't too bad to deal with.... Prices were fair when I was buying from them.

Thanks Absinth. Its another good option for me to follow up. Its good to know some wreckers out there are still dealing with old classic cars, they are getting hard to find. Cheers again
