Bus car was a Chev Luv ute that someone had rolled and cut the roof off so I could claim my first drive as a Chev convertible. Not that flash in Winter but better than walking.

Massey Fergusson 135, 74 Hiace LWB, 73 Hilux (Fred Flintstone Special Edition) , Mazda 929.

Did L's in Mazda E1800 and my Sandman. Passed P's in the Mazda and then the Sandman was all mine.

the first car i drove was an EH wagon. The day i got my license i also bought my dads HT Kingswood 186 3 on the tree. The funny thing was Dad had it from new but once he sold it to me every time he drove it he jammed up the gears. (i still have the HT and drive it often)

An 80's something Mazda Traveller.....8 seater column 5 speed. Dad gave it to me to learn in. Middle bench seat swiveled around 180 so it would face backwards and would also fold down so the two bench seats would become a bed. Any wonder i'm into vans lol

After a few prangs and getting it airbourne on multiple occasions it become known amongst my mates as the Battle Bus The best memory of that van was going to the Pantera concert on the Far Beyond Driven tour...around 1994 i think....fit 19 people in that van and chicks were screaming from getting groped. People literally spilled out of it when the doors opened. Bottles of jack daniels was spilt as well as bong water....man did my old man lose his sh!t the morning after....the smell was beyond comprehension

I'll try and find a photo, might have to scan it though

And then i bought my first car...HQ GTS coupe, 253...thats another story for another day

Interesting how many of us either learned to drive in or had a HQ as our first car!

It doesn't matter 'how' you got to a Pantera concert...

It was a wing and a prayer ...thats for sure The body roll was bloody scary. Mongrels in the back were a screaming and carrying on at cars we were passing. We got a round of applause from the people at the front lining up to get in.
