It is not about the journey,It is the style we travel in!
Just an iPhone. No use for a computer. I use it to keep in touch with my family who I spend too much time away from. I also use it to get on forums and waste my time away on.
Don't have one everything Ido on the net is with an iPhone , but the kids and wife have laptops for work and school ( don't know how much ) but we got rid of the main computer when we renoed the house, never got used wife has a iPad too but all I can use is this stupid phone.
I remember the day I was 1st introduced to a computer.
Of course, being 54 years old, I never grew up with one and my wife and I don't have kids, so my contact with one was rare and my use of one was zero. I worked as an engine reconditioner at Watson Racing Cams for 7 years and that period of time coincided with the computer boom for home and small business use, so I didn't need to use one for work either.
I bumbled through life without needing one for a few more years until one day my wife came home from work with a car load of computer bits. The place where she worked had upgraded and we became the proud owners of a '386' desktop computer. I was scared sh#tless of it and it sat in our spare room for years with a plastic computer cover on it.
Until....
I had relaunched my sporting career and was getting some assistance from the A.I.S who were heavily into the use of heart rate monitors, which I found extremely useful. The coach started asking for all my heart rate details and just expected that I knew how to download the HRM and print the graphs. I had no idea what he was talking about, let alone that the HRM could be connected to a computer. He was insistent that I must send him all my training data and I didn't even know where the 'On' button was on the computer (or that my '386' was already a dinosaur!)
Obviously I've made a bit of progress, but there's still a lot about these things that scare me.....
Vans.... This is the 2nd time round the block, 40 years later! talk about turning back the clock!
Haven't got much time for computers but realize they're a nesessary evil.
Try using one when the powers down.
