Right now is that time for a V2 CV8, but keeping one good for another 25 years won't be easy!
That is a good analogy. We lived and we know. Putting that into place with this century models isn't that difficult. Having the cash and storage is a whole other issue. I'm doing my best just buying the parts I feel will be wanted down the track.

If you want to carry a load you are better off with a one tonner. Utes are useless for a work vehicle. Trying to lift everything over the side is a pain as well.

That is where Ford got it right, make the tub removeable so you have the choice.

You could end up with a yard full of cars you won't sell cause they might be worth something one day.

I threw out sheds full of stuff that"might be useful one day". ten ute loads of it. The day was never going to come and I needed to make my shearing shed useable.

I was embarrassed around five years ago that I was selling GTS dashes out of HQ's for what seemed to be stupid prices at the time. Sort of wish I'd kept them but who knew? I did my clean out years back and I'm glad I did. Some of it would have been handy, but most of it is still out there, for slightly more cost. As for saving current vehicles for years, I'd rather save my collection of nice H series vehicles. Surely there will be a market in years to come, given the growing popularity and scarcity of good examples in the future?

It is a great car. less than 120.000kM, full service history until we stopped using it. still NSW regoed with original plates. original wheels etc. NOS bar to go with it. Quicksilver with black trim. I was going top advertise it for about $18k or so and negotiate bits to go with it depending upon agreed price.
