ebay: 1974 HQ 308 5 Speed Belmont Van Geelong Impulse Blue

Thought this was worth a mention. I don't know the TAGS.
Either way a real nice HQ ready to drive and enjoy. Price is apparently negotiable!

    Ad reads:

"This is my 1974 HQ Belmont Panel van. Its is a factory 308 and 4 speed, but has a speed behind it. I got it on the road about a year and a half ago and has done 62430kms so far. It has been a great car but I am selling due to the fact I am trying to buy a house.

The Van is painted in a Commodore color Impulse Blue. The Van is rebuilt or new, the following is a list of the things I have done to it.
    - Rebuilt motor (set up for gas, no gas fitted)
    - Reco 5 speed gear box
    - New Radiator
    - new intake manifold and Hollie carby
    - rebuild steering and power steering (no leaks)
    - rebuilt brakes and rebuilt vacuum booster
    - new brake master cylinder
    - new lines
    - rebuilt GTS gauge setup
    - new GTS guage fascia
    - new motor mounts
    - balanced tail shaft
    - rebuilt alternator
    - gear reduction starter
    - new hydraulic clutch setup
    - Heavy duty clutch
    - new battery
    - Brand new reproduction dash from Dash originals Adelaide ($700)
    - Body Seals
    - New window
    - Alpine Head uint and Apline speakers

I have paper for it and are willing to negotiate. You need to be looking at the car to make an offer. I am not interested in text messages so only interested buyers please. I just sold my bike and are not interested text messages and offers before you have even looked at the car. If your interested I will take you for a test drive (with me driving)."

If its as good as it looks in the photos that's a bargain.

Price doesn't show up for me on that link but its a classified ad for $25000 if anyone else is having the same problem.

Does look good. The bloke who lives behind me has a late model Monaro that colour - it is a very close shade to my van. I haven't seen this one around the Geelong area at all? Advertised as a Belmont so assume that it is and not a Sandmam, given what he has done he should know what he has. Regardless, looks the goods and factory 5lt 4spd.

Funny, just looking at the sellers eBay feedback and what he's been buying and selling. I bought a pair of genuine GTS guards off him over a year ago - for my HZ when I repaint it one day (yes i know not a factory feature but who doesn't love GTS guards) They are good original guards which he'd done some rust repairs to lower section. Good panel work, from memory it was a father and son team.

    Cheers, Jez
