Found this cool dealer advert on EBay for a Sydney dealer. Goes to show how far they would go back in the day to make a sale.

check out the vinyl slide away sunroof, these were big suckers and opened the roof right up. I had a Sydney built 770 VK Charger with this exact same sunroof only in black vinyl, it was so cool stopped at traffic lights at Surfers Paradise and standing on the seats up through the roof whistling at the girls.....

There is a high res version of this ad on the forum somewhere. Pity we don't have a thread that keeps all these old ads that people find, it would make for interesting reading.

I have the Wheels mag that that ad came out of along with an article featuring that van, 6 grand was a lot of dough for a van.

I'll see if I can dig it out

Yep, I read the story about that van on the net somewhere. A journalist drove it for a weekend.

Yeah, I think I saw that in one of my old mags recently, maybe a "Vanwheels". I think the van was lime green and had white painted bits like the grille and headlight surrounds etc... A bit ugly, but fairly typical of what was being done to them at the time.
