    HX info

Hi I've just joined and hoping someone can help me out I own a 1977 HX Panelvan beloved to be a sandman, I bought the van as my first car then a ball joint fell out n I had an accident. It's been it the shed for the last 10 yrs n I figure I should do something about getting it back on the road. From all the info I've gathered Its a dandenong built 308 m21 deauville blue car.
I'm wondering if there is any way anyone knows how to get hold of build info?
Also what trim code 1898-18v is?
Paint is 567-15944? What stripe match this as it was painted tiger mica when bout the van. Any help would be appreciated thanks Nic

Welcom Nic. It sounds promising but you need to get all the info from the compliance plates and put it on this site so thoughs who understand the details can give you more idea.Youll need to fix that ball joint and hopefully the crash wasn't too terminal.18V is Slate black interior, my favorite

If it's 18v trim code then it is definitely a Sandman. DY2 stripes were used with Deauville blue paint. Nice combo and welcome to the site.

Not so Sean. It may be a HX Kingswood van, so the model code needs to be checked. If it is a Holden van it is a Sandman, but if it is a Kingswood van it isn't.

I take it as a given that it is a WM70 van.... There is enough info on this site now for people to know there is no such thing as a Kingswood Sandman panelvan.

If everyone was reading the available info then this section of the forum wouldn't be needed.

You'd think so, but take it from me - the bulk of "is this a Sandman" questions I get are because of either full headlining, or Kingswood trim code, both which obviously (to us) are standard on Kingswood.
