    HQ Chassis replacement parts

I hope someone can help, I am rebuilding the HQ chassis at the moment and have noticed the spare wheel hoist support and member support are missing and the rear frame rail, body bolt holes are badly rusted.
Is there anywhere that sells these as reproduction parts or will I just have to source them from another frame?

You will have to source one from a wreck mine was missing due to LPG tank , I had a donor ute so cut that one off and had it welded in place, I am sure your local wrecker would have one a donor car that is

I picked mine up for $20 from a wrecker, I have not come across a repro of one.

Just look for HQ-WB ute, van or cab-chassis rails and cut what you need out.
For rusted body mount holes best bet is to buy some big flat washers with the same size hole, cut out a piece the size of the washer OD and weld the washer in in. On a tonner I had once I just welded the washers on top of the chassis. It raised the body 3mm but I just stuck the same washers under the radiator support mounts and all worked.

Was the spare wheel hoist beam offset to accommodate the exhaust?

Maybe it was offset because of the jack arm had to go through the lower panel at the rear, but in the middle was the license plate....commercials didnt have the flip down license plate holder. Either way, it bugs me that its not central. I'll be rectifying that with my build

Number plate. Your car does not have a license, you do.
