Holden 1970s Esky claimed to be an accessory/option for the Sandman Van Ute model ?

Hello i'm just curious has anyone any knowledge about Holden selling an optional Willow brand esky as an option for the 1970s Sandman Vans & Utes? I can't find any information on it from anyone and i've never heard of it. Dad first had Sandmans in the 1970s but he cannot remember, and doesn't believe it to be true. Someone has one for sale on ebay but even they are not sure of what they claim in the description. Any information would be appreciated as i'm very curious, but not $399 curious (thats his asking price)

The seller addresses that issue of authenticity in the listing - basically saying it is "debatable" if they did or didn't sell them or, as is my feeling, is that the dealers (off their own bat) may have packaged an esky and a few towels etc together as a themed bundle to sweeten the deal.

They are a nice period accessory whichever way you feel about them - but at $400 bucks!!!!!

I don't recall them being offered for sale when I purchased my ute in 79.

$400? That a fantastic price! I have a plain orange one. It's genuine Valencia orange and was sold with Valencia orange Sandmans. It was a little known fact that dealers kept them for them selves which is why no one knows about them anymore. I will sell it for $700. Bargain. It even has matching numbers.

thanks everyone, but i never ever considered buying it. I had never heard of it so it was merely a question of authenticity i thought i'd missed something and dad and i were curious.
