    maybe there should be a section for overlanders? most of them seem to be sandmans

    I'm sure I heard somewhere (Probably from HK) that they were optioned up sandmans so Arthur could start off with all the good gear.

    Just a rumour but i heard thats why some sandman utes and vans had the turbo 400 fitted for this conversion

    Yep, it was the cheapest way to get a T400 box which was needed for the conversion.

    Yes, in HJ-X mostly Sandman or BO6 as these tended to be "in-stock" or on the rolling schedule destined for stock as L31 M41, whereas a normal Holden ute/van/tonner as L31 M41 would be have to be built to order normally.
