    Yes I know Byron.

    ADR 10a 1st Jan 1971
    ADR 10b 1st Jan 1973

ADR 10b was revised in July 77 and became effective as from 1st Jan 78 from what I have found out.

    Thanks Mick,

just had a look at your new van..... Nice looking HZ with factory fitted side windows. Don't know how original the interior is but is the steering wheel a thick spoke or thin spoke one?

I know you are on the investigation about the sports steering wheel and spoke thickness. You mention in another thread that the Rare Spares version is always the 3mm thin spoke and they claim it is ADR approved for all models etc. Even though really it should be correct for later HZ only. Another issue with the Rare Spares version is the boss kit. It differs wildly from original. I guess this isn't an issue if you are only replacing a wheel but if you need a complete assembly you are nowhere near correct for any HQ to HZ. Although it gives the untrained eye the "illusion".

Apparently the new wheels have the correct style boss kit... The old ones were a joke.

the new Rares sports wheels are $395 ..... I still buy worn second hand thick spoke ones rather than have an incorrect part on my HJ. Just bought one recently for $250.

same with their pathetic excuse for a HQ/HJ console lid and shifter surround. I'll pay three times as much to get mine re-chromed to restore them rather than stoop to using shitty incorrect reproductions. Worse still is they are not in the least bit interested in trying to correct them!!!!

Sean just measured the steering wheel. It is a thick 5mm one.
