In the process of getting the engine rebuilt and plan on fitting up the standard exhaust manifolds when the engine is fitted to the van. I was going to sandblast them to get rid of the surface rust and have been wondering if there is some sort of coating that can be applied so the manifolds stay rust free. Has anyone else coated their exhaust manifolds and if so what product/process was used?
You can have them ceramic coated or aluminium sprayed.

Both of these products appear to work well, as for cleaning use some vinegar & water in a tub will bring them up like this.

i had mine ceramic coated in satin black
Molasses will clean them up too, just leave them in it for a while. You could paint them in heat capable paint, but eventually it comes off.
