Couple of quick questions (sandman van related, or course)

Did all Sandmans come out of the factory as windowless? OR were some released with windows?

How many genuine Sandmans have been recorded on the register? Just how many are out there?

HX - HZ they were done by the dealer or a 3rd party authorized by the dealer.

Byron has the register and it is not as simple as how many were made, there is a breakdown of possibles and unknowns and definites. There are no official GMH records of Sandman production numbers.

I have been living in Castlemaine for 3 months and have been driving around Bendigo and Kyneton and have only seen 3 vans(white trady, aqua kinsgwood and a black HQ) (no Sandmans), they are being stored more and driven less!

no mate..... As far as I know all vans could be ordered from the factory with side windows right up to and including WB. The windows in my HJ and HX are factory installed and the windows in Rod and Jennie's HZ were factory installed... All are the same size and interchangeable throughout the models. You can tell factory windows by the size and positioning in the panel.

non factory tend to be a taller window and don't look as good in my opinion.
