Part manuals on cd

Has anyone bought these part manuals on cd that are on eBay,they say because it is in PDF format you can type in a part number and the pages come up.

I have and they're only a scanned PDF so you can't do electronic searches through the document which is a great pity because searching through a 550-odd page scanned document isn't ideal! On the plus side they put a lot of extra info on those CDs in addition to the text and illiustrative parts manuals.

I purchased a WB Statesman and Holden one from Ebay and it has both bookmarks and full text recognition even though its a scan of the original manuals. The one i got has two manuals - 1. Text version and 2. Illustrated.
