    HZ sandman or not

    Hi just wondering can any one give me info on the hz body plate has an A on the end of the body number , the chassis has an M on the end of the number.

    You need to put the full plate information up to get any meaningful information.

    I've moved this thread to the correct location called 'HELP is this a Sandman'.

    Your original question is the body was built in Adelaide while the chassis was in Melb - Byron will definitely give a lot more detail.

    The numbers stack up to be a Sandman from what I can tell.

    Normal for all Dandenong and most Pagewwod vans for Sandman build timeframe. Bodies were hard trimmed and painted at the Elizabeth body plant and vehicle assembled at Dandenong assembly plant. Tbere are photos on this site somewhere of HX or HZ Sandman bodies on a train bound for Dandenong, this may be one of them.
