HZ Sandman value query

Hi All, I have a friend who is tentatively considering selling their HZ Sandman. Basically we're trying to establish what to value it at and I'm looking for some advice/comments/suggestions as to what it's worth. I know it's difficult to value a car without actually seeing it and having a thorough first hand inspection but I'll describe it as best I can and if anyone can give us ball-park figures/ranges that would be much appreciated.

It's a factory 308/M21 and from memory 3:36 diff (possibly LSD). I believe it was Atlantis blue but has been painted a darker shade of metallic blue and doesn't have the Sandman decals on it. The body is in fairly good condition with very little rust if any - the car has been in a shed un-used for many years. It has all the factory ID tags and original chassis but it's not the original motor. It has rear windows. I can't remember the interior colour (possibly a light blue from memory) but I believe it has all the original steering wheel, dash, seats, headlining etc. It's been converted from manual to auto (don't have the original 4 speed), and it has a gas conversion (dual fuel). It also has pro star mags (don't have the original wheels).

I'll see if I can get some pics of it the next time I'm there but in the meantime let me know what you think it's worth - and if there are any other details to look at in terms of valuing it.

It all depends upon condition of the body, interior, paint and chassis (as in the brakes, suspension etc).
Having windows, non original engine and LPG are de-valuing items. But being a 308 originally pushes it up.
Without seeing it and only going by the description you are looking somewhere between $5000 to $15000.

Edit, double side window means $6500 upwards. Windowless around $9k

Id same min 8,000 upto $18,000 depending on paint and interior

I reckon it'll struggle to get $10k going by the description and that's if the body really is as good as stated. I know from experience that things are rarely better than they look and more often worse than they look.

Only way to get the true value is to put it on eBay and see what people are willing to pay.

Try and find a really good half decent van or ute for that matter that you dont have to pour 10k into panel and paint
most of them are rust buckets and they go for good dollars
