It could be. Need to inspect the body as it is an XU3 if it is a Sandman. Do you have the chassis number? Will be around AHZ00600M
OK will try and get it today. I have been told by the old guy it has never been apart and is matching numbers, but will check.
i got the number, you are good, AHZ00603M
Cool. There is less than 700 x Dandenong HZ's, so not that hard to interpolate and get reasonably close!
It was originally a stock as a rock, base HZ if it is a Sandman, no mechanical options, nothing other than metallic paint. Not even passenger tyre option to make it an XX7. SO L32, M20, GV7, no air, no steer, no LSD.
BUT if it is a Sandman it is the first HZ Sandman I have recorded in Persian Sand Metallic MkII.
I'd go and look at it if you can, see if you can see the books. You'll know if it is a Sandman by the front, the headlining, footwell lamps, air dam cutouts etc if the car is that original.

Nice van whatever.... Well done.
Wonder what a Persian Sand one looks like freshly painted...

Is 9946866 the placard number I should be looking for ?
No, that is an XX7 placard. Probably 9946867 on that one being a 1977 example, later XU3 had 92001123. If it isn't a Sandman it should have 9946869.
Hey guys the placard had been painted over, looks to have last 3 numbers 865ND maybe, could be 867ND will need it carefully clean the paint off
9946865 is a sedan or wagon placard I think, so probably had a glovebox lid change.
