Speedo issue.....
The speedo in the van has just started acting strange.
After takeoff it flickers between 10 and 80km/h violently, then as I approach 80km/h it settles down and from then up to 100+ it behaves normally. The same thing happens as I slow down below 80km/h.
Broken cable?
Vans.... This is the 2nd time round the block, 40 years later! talk about turning back the clock!
Possibly that or oil getting up the cable. May even be as simple as the connector on the back of the speedo may not be quite straight or not attached properly. Check the cable for any kinks.

What box?
As above it may be a drive gear seal, kinked cable, damaged cable, melted sheath etc.
Trimatic box. It's still doing it too.
I hoped it would settle down and return to normal but how often does THAT happen?
I'll check the connections on the weekend....it can't be much of a problem. Just strange.

It's happened to me before Rob, a stuffed outer sheath, it must have caused the cable to wind up , and flick the speedo, as with yours, it settled down once the speed got up, I just changed the cable (after endless other things including the speedo) and it was fixed!
Try the cable first then the rest!
