    Angry Careless people....

My wife and I did a bit of shopping at Woolies during our weekly trip to town today. Took the van, got a great parking spot near the entrance, came out and some as#hole has walked into my left hand mirror and smashed it!

I took the crappy mirrors off last week and fitted my (much cooler) sports ones and got a whole 7 days out of it!

    I am not happy.

You can't leave anything nice anywhere any more.
Vans.... This is the 2nd time round the block, 40 years later! talk about turning back the clock!

Wasn't a car person then was it ,an accident is an accident but who ever did it probably just looked at it and said old car don't worry not thinking it's someone's pride an joy . Those spots aren't meant to be taken by classics or any nice cars take up two spots down the back .

One of my biggest fears is leaving my van parked in supermarket car parks. I have made the leader of the opposition go in do her shopping while I drive around town. People don't take responsibility for ther actions any more. For the price of a mirror it would have been nice for them to leave a note and at least offer to pay. Maybe they thought that it would be worth a lot of money.

If I have to park the van in a car park I park as far away from the shop as possible where nobody wants to park and usually park one side near a fence or pier as close as I can giving the next park as much door room as I can

We also have a BF gt and our daughter (who is a ford tragic)claims if you have a gt of any model you allowed to take up two car parks which I have done a couple of times .Which probably gave other people the shits but so what.

Wherever I park my Ute no one is game to park next to me, in fear for their own car.

People have neither knowledge nor respect. If they did, these stories would never see the light of day. I hit some blokes BMW a few years ago in Melbourne. I took the ute home and walked back and owned up, paid for the damage and it was all good. I told him I'd be gutted if someone hit and run my vehicle, so it was the right thing to do.
I'm certain people have no idea what a sports mirror would cost to replace. I'm equally certain they don't care. It's unfortunate.
