is that as it stands now? because it needs some serious bucks spent on it.

As is. Think about it...450,000 hqs built and its a 1 of 4 vehicle. I'm surprised its not already at that price. When will you get another chance to own a gen 350 hq wagon....never say never, but a very slim chance another will come up anytime soon
It all comes down to someone paying what they think it's worth doesn't it?
If you love wagons, HQ's and 350's, AND you had the cash to blow on it, then you'd pay the asking price.
Vans.... This is the 2nd time round the block, 40 years later! talk about turning back the clock!
I've been talking to the guy and I'm keen to buy this but am a bit concerned by the fact the vin plate is missing. Will this affect the rarity and the authenticity of the car. The guy says he has the full history but no documentation
Ask if the body plate is still there and what the body no. is this will give a time frame and allow an approximation of the correct vin compared to the numbers he has given, the full Vin according to the seller 'should' be 81235QJ314361 which doesn't show the engine size anyway but it is nice to have a full set of tags.
We know what the VIN was Leroy by the engine number.
Earlier in the thread HK you said you could get another one made how do you go about this?
