Nearly did, i sooked about the chassis debacle for about 12 months, then took a teaspoon of cement and got on with it.

Sorry Big Rob, slightly hijacked your thread...but here's a van teaser from Damo's van. 355 COME stroker, efi, 2.4ltr Whipple blower, rack and pinion steering, smoothed chassis rails etc etc. Will update in a couple of weeks, its sooo close i can taste it.

Thanks for the compliments everyone, sorry wbute but the taillights are already spoken for, otherwise you could have them.
On another note I picked up a rough but rust free (pretty much) HZ ute a couple of days ago. absolutely no rust in the plenum, doglegs, chassis, quarters, .... a little in the bottom of the near side door. Its had a little bump in the front, but nothing a couple of hours won't fix.

Paint is white, original, even the floors are perfect and still factory colour.
202, factory air!, column trimatic, full RTS suspension including rear swaybar on a banjo diff!
It has Torana Buckets which are fine (gives a bit more room inside).

It's getting....
2" lowered.
GTS wheels.
GTS steering wheel.
Black grille.
It's going to get used as my shop truck so not much in the way of beautification.... I need a roughie I can use and not get precious with.

I'm bleeding the brakes, giving it a tune up and oil change and should have it regoed and on the road by the weekend....
