i decided to go gloss black POR, i painted it in satin but it looked really flat so rubbed it back with 320 and re did it still not completely happy as im no expert painter ive been stuffing around with my different guns i have 3 runs on the chassis none will be seen when body is on but still annoys me, and one axle housing on the diff isnt as glossy as the rest of it, so when i paint the control arms and bits and pieces ill re do half the diff and touch up those runs on the chassis, the chassis and diff have $350 worth of paint on them now but im still having fun but i want to get it right
Wow that is a full strip down & paint, top job...
haha cheers mate yeah bit of work in it, hopefully comes out nice
im pretty happy with that frame too only cost about $30 and a few offcuts from other jobs and when im done i can put it in the firepit and have a few beers out the back
haha yeah its only a bit of merch pine (main beam is a treated pine 190x 45) cant burn that but was leftover off a job, im looking forward to dismantling it not just for the firepit it takes up a lot of room in a double garage, once the chassis rolling again which i hope to have done by next weekend im done with it
Great work mate will be worth in the long run look forward to more pics
some more bits and pieces that have been sandblasted and painted
