Looks a bit rough, but if it is one of the HJ vans that crossed the Simpson desert I thought those were Sandmans. Might be another crossing.

They were sandmans in 1977 but this was in 1998, I have a magazine with the article in it, but also think they were HX as well...will have to go and look at the article again
