Found this on another site, the orange van with the SLE Caprice grille looks just about perfect I reckon. http://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/t...0Panel%20vans?

Yep very nice
I like the HJ Caprice grille like on Max's van.
I like SL/E grill and also the block HJ Caprice grill, I'm not a big fan of the more common HJ Deville thin slat.
I agree it would have been better made of metal rather than plastic. Same is true for all the lower grills. They were extremely flimsy.
The orange HZ with two piece SL/E grill looks great.
They don't last though, the chromed plastic bubbles on SL/E grille. The thin slat front is HX-HZ Statesman except SL/E.
Notice on ebay an upper and lower grille, NOS, for $2250 and another for $1850. Got to be joking surely. On a different note HX would have to be the most unattractive in my humble opinion.
They definitely do bubble. I had NOS upper and lower SL/E grilles in the box and the chrome bubbled off the plastic. They are cheap crap grilles like the aftermarket HZ ones you buy today, all the rest have stainless around them apart from the HZ Caprice which has a big alloy bit at the top (which gets die-cast pimpling in it).
HJ Deville and Caprice are the same grille, just the Caprice has the nice scrolled Caprice badge. HX-HZ are all the same fine slat grille for both Deville and Caprice, just different paint treatments and the HZ Caprice getting the die-cast bar on the top. These are the ones you don't like, and i'm sorta with you on them except I like them better than the SL/E grille.
Or maybe a WB grille in a HZ front for something different. I have since converted it to caprice.
