DIECAST MODEL EXPO 1:18 Holden VY SS Custom Sandman Devil Yellow

Can't say i'm a fan of this .....decals don't make the scale model any more attractive. I've been hounding these guys to do a 1:18 HQ Sandman ute and van to complete the set.

Oh well, it is what it is

They must have a shipping container full of these left. They have been pumping them through ebay lately.
Totally wrong Sandman logo, wrong stripes = No interest from me.

Apart from the decal angles going in complete different directions to the body shapes and mouldings and looking ridiculous.
What's with the 02 KOOL plates? The VY Sandman wasn't released until 2003 VY SII. Notice the wheels are from the MAMBO VU model.
The tailgate script is just some random made up font and noting ever used by Holden, at best it's styled on the HX-Z version.

It's a really poor effort and I can't believe Holden endorsed it

There was a black one up the other day for $245.00 Buy It Now! It was overpriced.
What's with people and a piece of random junk with a "limited edition certificate" thinking it equals megabucks.

I paid $120 for a non prostituted version (i.E: no stripes or ironing board) and even that I feel was "overs". But a cute thing for display.
Mine came with a "limited edition certificate" also.

Yeah the standard v series vans are pretty pricey still.

I bought the blue HJ sandy and now they're sitting on $400 on eBay....wtf?? Same with the green hx sandman....really jumped up in price. The HZs seem to at the lower end of the price range.
