    The Ugly Duckling

Started on this today. I've only started on the interior, but thought I may as well start a thread now.

I'm stripping this to go get blasted, then bodywork and painted. Doing the stripping in my driveway so hanging panels/doors/driveline etc will be last to come off/out. Also making an offer on a house on Monday, so the longer it's running the better.

Nothing exciting yet, but here's some pics:

Couldn't believe the amount of dust that was on everything behind the dash facia. It hasn't been off in a long time:

Gotta love backyard wiring additions. HZ column in it apparently:

Bloke I got it off said it had no choke when I bought it. This was tucked up under the dash. Bit of freeing up at the carby end and voila-choke. Dunno what the choke cables out of though:

Random switch I found in the wiring mess under the dash. Doesn't seem to do anything, haven't traced the wiring yet:

    As it sits:

If oldmate had put as much effort into keeping rust away as he did putting this in, I'd be happy. Took me near half an hour just to get this out, had mounts everywhere:

Looks to be a fish oil plug in the "A" pillar.

What was the roof lining? Looks like an old woolen blanket.

Fcuked if I know mate, it's like old carpet or something.

Yeah been told it was factory rustproofed, those plugs are in various spots throughout the body.
