I'm hoping to get rid of it altogether...

It actually worked well drawing the heat out with the front windows open while driving.

Think you'll find it was for the missus to view the stars and let the fumes out.
I actually prefer the sunroof in the back. But I would never fit one personally. Not sure I would bother filling it though.
It will always haunt you with shrinks in the paint if you ever manage to weld it up and keep the warpage to a minimum. Horrible things to deal with.

Yeah I'd like it gone, but I'm not 100% on it yet. I'll talk to the panel bloke when I get to that stage and go from there.

get a plate and have a lip flanged into it. glue and screw and then spot it up. if it moves or cracks (which it probably wont within the next 10 years) then you wont see it all the way up there anyways. fill it!!!!

That's another option. Friggin sunroofs, my Torana has one in it as well, but I've got another Torana roof that I cut off a UC to hopefully fix that one.

I've got the WB van to cut up for panels etc (glad I kept it now), might be able to work something out with it...

Good luck with it Ian, nothing is impossible. I just shudder everytime I see a panel Van when side windows "supposedly" filled and done professionally by a panel shop, charged megabucks etc.
I walk around it and plainly see paint/bog shrinks when the holes once were. I end up thinking it would have been better with the glass still in place.

Again, shows up the value of an unmolested sunroof/windowless survivor.

Cheers mate. I'll see what happens when I get to that stage. I know I've done 2/5 of F*** all of what needs to be done, but it's good to finally make a start on it.
